Book-Study Group: Lounge
This group will begin by reading "The Preaching Life" by respected preacher and writer Barbara Brown Taylor. In a series of essays Taylor explores scripture, worship, preaching and vocation. These are presented in a biographical, anecdotal form and relaxed style which draws the reader in and invites deep reflection on God's grace, on our approch to Scripture, and the relationship between preacher and congregation. This is followed by a selection of her evocative sermons, each focused on a single text.
Bible-Study Group: Old Council Room
This group will study a selection of biblical texts chosen by the group itself, with discussion led by members of the group. No prior biblical knowledge is necessary. Visitors and new members are very welcome.
