Accessibility

Our denomination is intentional about accessibility and offers guidelines for congregations to help us welcome all.  The RCRC building is all on one level with space for wheel chairs and walkers.  Since its construction in 1984, our renovation teams have been updating according to our changing needs, and some of these changes have been designed to assist with access and navigation for those with challenges in these areas.  Below are some of the features included with updates over the years.

  • Unisex bathroom with 36 inch doorway, grab bars and room to maneuver a wheel chair.
  • Education wing restroom renovation included wide stalls with grab bars.
  • Sanctuary has staggered pews in the back with space for chairs and walkers.  Ushers are attentive to those with walkers and offer assistance when needed.
  • Drinking fountains with bottle fillers allow for seated or standing access.
  • Main parking area (West side of building) features adjacent handicap spaces including some with van access, a curb break with slight ramp to entry walk and powered doors at main entrance.  These are operated by self charging batteries for zero operating emmissions.
  • Sanctuary sound system includes an FM broadcast to personal hearing aid receivers.  Ask an usher if this accommodation would be helpful to you or a loved one.
  • Large print bulletins are available.
