Good News Jail Ministry
Matt 25:35-40 .. I was in prison, and you visited me
Christ calls us to bear the light of scripture to the dark and confused places of the world. Prison is one such place.
Every other week, men from various fellowships visit the Monroe County Correctional facility with the Good News Jail ministry. They hold small Bible studies with five to eight men. On a bi-monthly basis, some attend an ecumenical worship service to strengthen the faith of inmate believers.
The are many opportunities to participate - Bible studies, grading Bible tests, attending worship, and being part of the worship team.
